Northeastern Set For La Salle Saturday

BOSTON – Looking to move to 2-0 on the young season, the Northeastern men's basketball team hits the road to take on La Salle for a Saturday afternoon contest at Gola Arena. Tip-off is set for 3:30 p.m. on ESPN+

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

1. THE SERIES WITH LA SALLE

Northeastern and La Salle are meeting for the fifth time in program history, and first time since Nov. 30, 2012. It is also the first time since 2012 that the Huskies have played a non-conference game in Philadelphia. The Explorers own a 3-1 edge in the series, with the lone Huskies' win coming in 1998.

2. SAKOTA SHINES IN NORTHEASTERN DEBUT
Luka Sakota had a team-high 17 points, two shy of a career-high, in his Huskies debut on Monday night. Sakota finished the night 5-of-12 from the field along with a team-high five assists. Sakota also went 5-of-7 from the line, helping the Huskies to a 15-of-18 (83.3%) showing as a team. Northeastern made 15+ free throws in a game just six times a season ago.

3. ROAD WARRIORS
Saturday's game at La Salle begins a stretch of seven straight away from Matthews Arena. With just three home games during the non-conference season and trips to East Carolina and Virginia, among others, the Huskies will travel more than 2300 miles during the first half of the season.
