Benjamin Godish finished seventh in the men's race and senior
Abigail Hassman finished fourth in the women's race as both placed high enough at the NCAA Northeast Cross Country Regionals Friday at Van Cortlandt Park to qualify for the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
Hassman's qualification makes her the first Northeastern woman to ever earn a spot at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, while Godish follows the steps of
Alexander Korczynski, who qualified for the Championship individually last season.

Azza Borovicka-Swanson were all named to the NCAA Northeast All-Region Team for their performances.
WOMEN
- Hassman finished fourth in the race with a time of 19:57.5, a new school record in the 6K, to lead the Huskies to an eighth-place finish among the field of 37 teams. She was the top American finisher in the race.
- Northeastern picked up 256 places, with all five scored runners placing inside the top 100.
- Borovicka-Swanson finished second among Huskies and 25th overall, posting a time of 20:30.0, her personal best and the second-best time by a Husky ever.
- Following her was senior Ava Duggan, who ran a time of 20:51.2 to finish 44th.
- Fifth-year Isa Meyers followed with a 21:25.3 time and freshman Keira Gamily posted a 21:35.1 time (her personal best) to round out the top five.
MEN
- Godish finished seventh overall and first for the Huskies, posting a time of 29:51.7 to set a personal best in the 10K.
- The Huskies earned 253 points and finished eighth among the field of 37 teams, as all five scored runners placed inside the top 100.
- Cullen was the second Husky to cross the finish line, recording a time of 30:12.4, his own personal best, to finish 24th overall.
- Following him was senior Malav Mehta, who posted a 30:48.6 time and was 64th overall in the race.
- The Huskies' top five was rounded out by sophomore Patrick Cantlon, running a 30:49.5 time, and senior Patrick Mullen, who finished with a time of 31:11.0.
Next up, Hassman and Godish will travel to Earlysville, Virginia for the NCAA Cross Country Championships at Panorama Farms Saturday, Nov. 18.
