BOSTON – The Northeastern women's basketball team (2-0) takes a short road trip to Chestnut Hill this Sunday, November 12, to face Boston College (1-1) in Conte Forum. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- LAST TIME OUT – The Huskies opened up their home schedule with a 78-74 victory over UMass this past Thursday, driven by an impressive 51% overall shooting percentage (25-for-49) from the NU squad. The Huskies were led by a career-high 18 points from Asha Parker, a solid 12 points from Gemima Motema including a 10-for-11 mark at the free throw line, and a season-high 12 points for Maddie Vizza going 3-for-5 from behind the arc.
- HOT START – Northeastern starts the season 2-0 for the first time since the 2018-19 season, where the Huskies started off with a staggering 9-0 record through their first nine games. Their first two wins that season came against Boston University (81-51) and Fordham (58-54).
- A FAMILIAR FOE – The Huskies and the Eagles will match up for the 30th time this Sunday, with the Eagles holding a slight 16-13 advantage all-time. The Huskies looked to break the BC winning streak in the series last season at Matthews Arena, holding a one-point lead with two minutes to go, but the Eagles were able to take the lead with under a minute remaining to hold on for the win.
The Huskies remain local, with two home midweek matchups next Thursday, November 16 vs. Merrimack, and Tuesday, November 21 against Wagner. Both games are set to tip-off at 8 p.m. from the Cabot Center, and both games will stream on FloHoops and NESN+.
