Northeastern Heads To Columbia Saturday

BOSTON – The Northeastern women's basketball team (4-1) is set to head to New York City to face the Columbia Lions (2-4) on Saturday, November 25. Tip-off is slated for 4 p.m. on ESPN+.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
  1. LAST TIME OUT – Paced by 21 points from Maddie Vizza, the Huskies defeated the Wagner Seahawks, 63-46, on Tuesday evening at the Cabot Center. Vizza had a masterful three-point shooting display for Northeastern, accounting for seven of the team's 11 makes from beyond the arc. The senior's seven threes tied a career-high and a program record. Vizza last reached the milestone in 2021, when she became the first NU freshman to hit seven or more threes in a game for the Huskies.
  2. NEED AN ASSIST Derin Erdogan leads the Huskies with 28 assists, averaging 5.6 per game, which also is second in the CAA. Erdogan has 4+ assists in four of the five games so far this season for Northeastern, and most recently had eight against Wagner.
  3. IT'S BEEN AWHILE – The Huskies and Lions last met on November 24, 1998. Northeastern took down Columbia that year with a score of 70-66, and lead the all-time series 2-1.
After Columbia, the Huskies will remain on the road to face New Hampshire on Wednesday, November 29. Tip-off is slated for 6:03 p.m.
