Lily Shannon represented the No. 5 Northeastern women's hockey team, earning honors from Hockey East as the league unveiled its preliminary postseason award selections on Wednesday. Carter was named the Co-Army ROTC Best Defender, Mueller earned Scoring Champion honors and Shannon claimed Pro Ambitions All-Rookie accolades.

The Hockey East Army ROTC Best Defender, Carter set a new career-high with 19 points this season off four goals and a career-high 15 assists in just 25 games played. Carter has anchored a Husky defensive unit that ranks first in team goals against average (.874), scoring defense (.88) and has the third-most shutouts (10). For the third time in her career, Mueller is the Hockey East Scoring Champion, posting 40 points in 27 league games. Mueller recorded 40 points from 15 goals and a league-high 25 assists. Her 40 league points are her most since she recorded a career-high 44 Hockey East points during the 2019-20 season. This season, Mueller became the Hockey East All-Time Leading Scorer with her 168
th point against Holy Cross on Jan. 27.

Shannon led all Husky rookies with 14 points, off five goals and nine assists. This marks her first career honor from Hockey East. Her 14 points rank sixth among all Hockey East rookies. Shannon has a plus-13 rating on the season and also contributed 15 blocks.

The remainder of the awards, including the three All-Star Teams, Goaltender of the Year, Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year will be unveiled in the coming days by Hockey East.
