THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- LAST TIME OUT – The Huskies had a perfect 2-0 week, with wins against Drexel and Hofstra. Against the Dragons on Friday, Northeastern outscored the hosts, 27-10, in the fourth quarter to earn a 71-64 victory at the Daskalakis Athletic Center. The win snapped a 17-game losing streak to the Dragons, and was the first home loss for first place Drexel this season. The Huskies then defeated Hofstra, 59-52, on Sunday at home. In the victory, sophomore Gemima Motema tallied a team-high 16 points and four steals.
- THANK YOU, SENIORS – Prior to Sunday's game, the Huskies will honor the members of the 2023 Senior Class, which includes Rae Deer, JaMiya Braxton and Anna Boruta. Deer is a student manager for the team, while Braxton is a graduate transfer who came over to Northeastern this season from Northwestern State, and Boruta has been a part of the Huskies since her freshman campaign in 2019-20.
- CAA STANDINGS UPDATE - In the second to last week of the regular season, the Huskies sit in a three-way tie for fourth place in the CAA standings with Towson and William & Mary with a 9-5 record. Drexel sits in first with a 11-4 record, and North Carolina A&T and Stony Brook both have 10-4 records in conference play.
After Delaware and Hampton, the Huskies will close out the regular season on the road at Charleston on Thursday, March 2, and UNCW on Saturday, March 4. Both games can be watched on FloHoops.
