Alina Mueller of the No. 5 Northeastern women's hockey team was named the Hockey East Player of the Month for February after leading the Huskies to a 7-0-0 record.
Mueller posted a league-high 16 points off seven goals and nine assists to lead the Huskies to an undefeated February. Northeastern captured its fourth-straight Regular Season crown and 18th Beanpot title during the month. Mueller recorded two hat tricks, two game-winning goals, two power-play tallies and a plus-12 rating during February.
The Winterthur, Switzerland native recorded the 10th-ever Hockey East playoff hat trick and tied a single-game points record with five in the 5-1 Hockey East Quarterfinal victory over Merrimack. Additionally, Mueller set a new Hockey East tournament career scoring record with 30 points and counting, while also tying Kendall Coyne Schofield's program record of 249 career points.
Mueller currently ranks fourth in the nation with 55 points from 24 goals and 31 assists. She was named a Hockey East First Team All-Star and the conference's Scoring Champion during February as well.
Mueller and the Huskies are back in action against Boston College in the Hockey East Semifinals on Wednesday, March 1 at 6 p.m. in Matthews Arena. Tickets are available here.
