AMESBURY, Mass.— After posting a 4-1 NCAA Quarterfinal over No. 4 Yale to book a third-straight Frozen Four appearance, four members of the No. 5 Northeastern women's hockey team were honored with weekly Hockey East awards. Alina Mueller was named Player of the Week, Lily Shannon was honored as Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week, Megan Carter earned Army ROTC Defender of the Week and Gwyneth Philips earned Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Week accolades.
 
Mueller posted one goal and one assist to lead Northeastern over Yale. Mueller assisted Chloé Aurard's game-winning goal, accounting for the 23^rd game-winner she's been involved in this season. Mueller is riding an 11-game point streak and the Huskies are 30-0-0 when she records a point this season.
 
Shannon earned her first weekly honors from the league after posting the game-opening goal against Yale. Shannon's tally was her sixth of the season and came as she deked around the Yale goaltender to put the Huskies up 1-0 over the Bulldogs. A Hockey East All-Rookie Team selection, Shannon now has 15 points on the season, which leads all Husky rookies.
 
Carter posted one assist and three blocks against Yale. Her assist came on Aurard's game-winner, while her three blocked shots were the same amount as Yale's entire team. Carter, the Hockey East Best Defender, has 22 points on the season, tied to lead all Husky defenders. 
 
Philips posted a career-high 38 saves in the win over Yale. Philips was crucial to the Huskies holding Yale, a team that was averaging four goals per game, to just one in the NCAA Quarterfinal. The Athens, Ohio native leads the nation in wins (34), goals against average (.81) and save percentage (.961).
 
The Huskies are back in action against No. 1 Ohio State at the Frozen Four on Friday, March 17 at 3:30 p.m at Minnesota Duluth's AMSOIL Arena.
