Three Huskies Earn Hockey East All-Star Accolades, Levi Named Goaltender of the Year

AMESBURY, Mass. — Junior goaltender Devon Levi has been named the Hockey East Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Year, for the second straight year, and three Huskies have earned spots on Hockey East All-Star teams from the No. 15/16 Northeastern men's hockey team. Levi and senior captain Aidan McDonough were named First Team All-Stars, and sophomore Justin Hryckowian is a Second Team All-Star.

The recently named 2023 Mike Richter finalist, Levi was named a unanimous Hockey East First Team All-Star. He led the conference in six categories: conference wins (14), conference shutouts (6), goals against average (1.81), save percentage (.947), conference saves (753), and minutes played (1393:01). As he backstopped the Huskies to a 17-12-5 record in games he started, making 30+ saves in 20 outings. Levi also helped the Huskies to their fourth Beanpot title in the last five years, earning himself both tournament MVP and the Eberly award for best save percentage of the tournament. Additionally, he was named Hockey East Goaltender of the Year (Feb. 2023) and a five-time Hockey East Goaltender of the Week this season.

Now a two-time Hockey East First Team All-Star selection, McDonough tallied 29 points in just 33 games played with a league-high 14 goals and 15 assists. He recorded six power-play goals, a conference high, and posted 88 shots, the second-best mark in the league. The active NCAA career leader in both goals (65) and power-play goals (29) earned Hockey East Player of the Week honors (Oct. 10) and tallied the game-winning shootout goal to help the Huskies to their eighth Beanpot title, and second of his career.

Hockey East's Best Defensive Forward, Hryckowian, was named a Hockey East Second Team All-Star for the first time in his career. Hryckowian led the league with 319 faceoff wins and with a plus-19 rating, while tied for second with four game-winning goals. The Île Bizard, Quebec native posted 29 points on the season off a league-high 14 goals and 15 assists and led all Husky forwards with 22 blocks. Hryckowian was named Hockey East Player of the Month (Nov. 2023), following his first career hat trick over New Hampshire that also earned him Hockey East Player of the Week honors (Nov. 7).
