  • Also started a midweek game against Stonehill - pitched one scoreless inning with a strikeout.
  • On the week as a whole: 10.0 scoreless innings in two starts, with eight punch outs and only five hits. He walked no batters and allowed no XBH on the week. Opponents batted .135 against him in his two appearances.
  • His ERA (1.74) is now 16th in the NCAA, and he leads the nation in strikeout to walk ratio (42K / 2BB).

Cam Maldonado - Fr. - OF - Wolcott, Conn. - CAA Rookie of the Week
Maldonado is earning his first CAA weekly award as the Rookie of the Week after leading the Huskies offensively for the week. In five appearances, he bat .625 with four extra-base hits, including his third triple of the season.
  • Batted 10-for-16 on the week with four walks. Slugged 1.063 and had an on-base percentage of .700.
  • Tallied six RBI on two doubles, a triple, and a home run.
  • Best performance of the week was on Sunday with a solo home run, and three runs scored as he went 2-for-3 at the plate. Maldonado recorded two hits in all five games played this week.
  • Was also a perfect 5-for-5 on stolen bases, and scored five runs.

The Huskies improved to 8-4 in CAA play with a series win over Delaware - they head on the road for four this week, starting with the Baseball Beanpot consolation game at UMass on Tuesday, April 11, and head to Stony Brook for a CAA series Friday through Sunday, April 14-16.
