No. 8 Huskies Set to Face No. 7 Harvard, No. 11 Wisconsin This Weekend

BOSTON – The Northeastern men's rowing team is set for its last two home races of the spring season against Harvard on Saturday, April 29, and against Wisconsin on Sunday, April 30. Races on Saturday are slated for 8:15 am (3V), 8:45 am (1V), 9:15 am (2V), and 9:45 am (4V). Sunday's race times are 8 am (1V), 8:20 am (2V), 8:40 am (3V/4V).

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

LAST TIME OUT – The Huskies took down No. 7 Brown on Saturday, April 15, as the first varsity eight knocked off the Bears in stellar fashion by .57 seconds, bringing the Dreissigacker Cup back to Henderson Boathouse. With graduate student and captain Rhett Burns in the stroke seat, Brown had a two-seat advantage through the first 500 meters, and increased its lead to five seats in the second 500. With 700 meters to go, Northeastern made a move, and took the lead with only 100 meters remaining, and crossed the line ahead of the Bears in thrilling fashion at 6:05.40. Brown finished at 6:05.97.
WELCOME BACK ALUMS – This weekend marks the Northeastern University Rowing Association's 2^nd Annual Spring Impact Weekend, which will kick off on Friday, and go until Sunday. Festivities will include an alumni row, impact reception, viewing of the races, and more! For more information, CLICK HERE.
FINAL STRETCH – After this weekend, the Huskies only have two weekends left of racing with Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Massachusetts on Sunday, May 14, and then the team will close out the season at the IRA National Championships in Mercer, New Jersey on Friday, June 2 through Sunday, June 4.
