BOSTON - The Northeastern Huskies (23-5, 6-3 CAA) host their second home CAA series of the season, as they host the Delaware Blue Hens (14-14, 5-4 CAA) for three games this Friday through Sunday, April 7th through 9th. All three games will broadcast on FloBaseball and WRBBÂ 104.9 - Friday's game will also be broadcast on NESN.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- HOME COOKING: Northeastern holds a 9-2 record at Friedman Diamond this season, and are 2-1 in CAA play at home. They opened up the season winning seven of their first eight games at home including a victory over #16/17 Boston College.
- COMING IN HOT: Both teams in this weekend's series are coming in off of CAA sweeps in the previous weekend - Northeastern has won 13 of its last 15 contests, and swept Monmouth in conference play last weekend. The Delaware Blue Hens are winners of five straight including a CAA sweep of preseason favorite College of Charleston, outscoring the Cougars 32-7 in the series.
- GOING, GOING, GONE: First baseman Tyler MacGregor now leads the team with a .406 batting average, tallying multiple hits in eight of his last 10 appearances. He has hit three home runs this week already, and is up to nine on the season, tied for the team lead with Alex Lane.
After this series, the Huskies will face off with UMass in the Beanpot consolation game before heading to Stony Brook for a three-game CAA road series.
