BOSTON— The Northeastern women's rowing team is set for its second weekend of action this spring as the team travels down to Overpeck Park to take on Columbia and Navy on Saturday, April 8. Races are set to begin at 12 p.m.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- THE WOODBURY CUP: Northeastern and Columbia will be racing for rights to the Woodbury Cup. The Huskies recaptured the Woodbury Cup last season for the first time since 2017, with the first varsity eight beating out Columbia by just under three seconds.
- DOC HOSEA RECAP: The Huskies opened their spring season at the Doc Hosea Invitational last weekend, facing then-No. 10 Syracuse, then-No. 8 Penn, Bucknell and Villanova on the Cooper River. Northeastern's fourth varsity eight picked up a win, crossing the finish line over Penn and Syracuse in a time of 7:14.29.
- A SPRING IN OUR STEP: Northeastern is looking to defend its eight-straight CAA titles this spring. The Huskies' spring slate features two races on the Charles and six races overall. Northeastern will host an Alumnae and Parents Weekend from April 15-16 with the entire Northeastern rowing community invited to join the team for a weekend of races and an evening reception on Saturday, April 15 (register here).
