SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.— For the ninth-straight season, the Northeastern women's rowing team won the CAA Championship on Friday morning at Fish Creek in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. The Huskies claimed 42 points after sweeping all three scoring races.
With the victory, Northeastern has secured the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Championship which will take place from May 26-28 in Pennsauken, N.J. The Huskies now own 12 CAA Championships overall.
Head coach Joe Wilhelm was named the CAA Coach of the Year, for a conference-best 10
th time.

Iris Cotrupi and
Grace O'Connor all earned All-CAA honors.
In the first race of the day, the third varsity eight, stroked by
Piper Larin, started the day off right securing a win by over eight seconds in a time of 7:42.957.
The varsity four kept the momentum going in the first scoring race of the day, picking up seven points with their win. Stroked by
Peri Mishkin, the varsity four fended off Drexel's rally at the end of the race, winning by .078 seconds in a time of 8:32.160.
The second varsity eight had a two-second victory over Drexel to bring home 14 points. Stroked by
Dalton Boyse, the Huskies crossed the finish line in a time of 7:34.214.
The first varsity eight, stroked by
Charlotte Kershaw, finished off the day in style, securing 21 points as they won their race by over seven seconds. The Huskies posted a time of 7:11.544.
The Huskies are back in action at the NCAA Championship from May 26-28.
