BOSTON – The Northeastern track and field program will send 10 athletes to Jacksonville, Fla., for the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds on the campus of the University of North Florida from May 24-27. The 10 athletes are the most traveling to the preliminaries for Northeastern since 2018.
Ethan Exilhomme (110m Hurdles)
- Exilhomme was the CAA 110m hurdles champion, running a time of 13.78 to take the crown.
- He set the Northeastern school record in the event during the opening weekend of the outdoor season at the UCF Black and Gold Invite at 13.71, before improving with a time of 13.60 at the Texas Relays in April.
- Exilhomme returns to the preliminaries for the second consecutive season after competing a year ago in Indiana.
Madison Neuner (3000m Steeplechase)
- Neuner was the CAA 3000m steeplechase champion, running a personal-best time of 10:21.74 to pull away for the title.
- Neuner's performance in the event sits at third all-time in Northeastern history.
Benjamin Godish (5000m)
- Godish enters following two individual titles at the CAA Championships in the 1500m and 5000m, as well as being named the CAA Men's Most Outstanding Track Performer.
- Godish holds the Northeastern school record in the 1-mile (3:59.18), ranks second in the 5000m (13:41.22) and third in the 15000m (3:43.60).
Dominique Biron (400m Hurdles /Long Jump)
- Biron comes into the event after being named the CAA Women's Most Outstanding Field Performer at the CAA Championships. She was the CAA Heptathlon champion for the third consecutive season and earned the silver medal in the long jump.
- The senior owns the Northeastern school record in the heptathlon (5,505) and the 400m hurdles (58.55).
Cory Gathier (400m Hurdles)
- Gathier took the silver medal in the 400m hurdles at the CAA Championships with a personal best time of 51.03. The time ranks second in Northeastern history.
- Gathier also sits at fifth all-time in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.13 at the CAAs.
Gianna Rao (Hammer Throw)
- Rao finished second, earning the silver medal at the CAA Championships in the hammer throw.
- The graduate student holds the second-best mark in Northeastern history at 60.68m from her throw at the UMass Pre-Conference Invite in April.
Nicholas Pisciotta (Hammer Throw)
- Pisciotta won the CAA hammer throw title for the second consecutive year at the CAA Championships with a mark of 60.98m.
- He holds the eighth best mark in Northeastern history in the hammer throw at 62.32m.
- Pisciotta returns to the NCAA preliminaries after competing in the hammer throw last year and finishing 36th.
Abigail Hassman (5000m)
- Hassman has put together two Northeastern school records this season in the 1-mile (4:43.91) and the 5000m (16:13.29). She also sits at fourth all-time in the 1500m at 4:30.44.
- In the 5000m at the CAA Championships, Hassman finished fifth.
Kyle Sarney (3000m Steeplechase)
- Sarney championed the 3000m steeplechase at the CAA Championships with a time of 9:05.29.
- He holds the third best time in Northeastern history in the event at 8:47.88.
Azza Borovicka-Swanson (3000m Steeplechase)
- Borovicka-Swanson finished fifth in the 3000m steeplechase at the CAA Championships with a time of 10:36.04.
- She holds the fifth best time in Northeastern history at 10:33.29, set at the Friar Invitational in April.
The NCAA Championships will take place from June 7-10 in Austin, Texas.
