First Varsity Advances to C Final at NCAA Regatta

PENNSAUKEN, N.J.— Returning to the Cooper River on Saturday morning for the second of three days at the 2023 NCAA Rowing Championship, the Northeastern women's rowing team's first varsity eight advanced to the C final for the first time since 2017. The Huskies' second varsity eight and varsity four each secured spots in the D finals on Sunday after competing in their semifinals.
  • Stroked by Charlotte Kershaw, the first varsity eight placed third in their semifinal to advance to the C final on Sunday morning with a time of 6:39.633. The Huskies' bested George Washington by just under 10 seconds and sixth-place Jacksonville by over 20 seconds.
  • The Huskies' second varsity eight, stroked by Eleanor Forbis, was locked in a tight battle in their semifinal, ultimately placing fourth overall to earn a spot in the D final. The 2V finished with a time of 6:51.697 just .326 behind the third-place finisher George Washington.
  • The varsity four, stroked by Peri Mishkin, also advanced to the D final after placing fourth in their semifinal with a time of 7:46.656.
