BOSTON— Northeastern women's hockey head coach
Dave Flint has announced the addition of Becca Vanstone ahead of the 2023-24 season. A graduate transfer from Yale, Vanstone will have one year of eligibility remaining with the Huskies.
Â
"We are thrilled to welcome Becca to the Northeastern University community as a graduate transfer from an outstanding Yale program," remarked Flint. "Becca has an outstanding scoring touch, a high compete level and a true nose for the net. She does not shy away from physical play and creates just as much space for her teammates as she can create for herself. We expect Becca to have a big role in our offense as soon as she steps foot on campus and we know she will thrive in that role. Her experience in a competitive ECAC conference will allow for a seamless transition into our style of team play and we could not be more excited to have her as a part of our program."
Â
A forward, Vanstone appeared in 89 career games for the Bulldogs, tallying 38 goals and 27 assists for 65 points. Vanstone was named to the All-ECAC Rookie Team and All-Ivy Second Team in 2018-19. The Mississauga, Ontario native helped Yale to a Frozen Four appearance in 2021-22.
Â
Prior to Yale, Vanstone attended St. Martin Secondary School and played for the Mississauga Jr. Chiefs.
