Huskies Set For No. 12 UMass On Saturday

BOSTON— The Northeastern Huskies continue their stretch on home ice with a stand-alone game this Saturday, Jan. 20th as they host the #12 UMass Minutemen. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. NOT A MINUTE TOO SOON: Assistant captain Gunnarwolfe Fontaine currently leads all active Huskies in scoring against the Minutemen with six points from one goal and five assists. Following up is captain Justin Hryckowian who has tallied three points from two goals and one assist. In addition, eight other skaters have recorded at least one career point against UMass.
  2. DEFENSIVE DUO: The defensive duo of sophomore Vinny Borgesi and graduate student Pito Walton are maintaining a strong showing for the Huskies. Borgesi leads all Northeastern blueliners with 14 points from two goals and 12 assists. The Pennsylvania native has recorded five points (1g, 4a) in his last four outings. Walton, whose 16 league blocks are tied for ninth in Hockey East, boasts a team-high 26 blocks and three goals (most among all NU defensemen).
  3. A WINNING PAIR: Senior Alex Campbell and sophomore Jack Williams are the only two Huskies to record a point in every win this season. Williams takes the lead with seven goals and eight assists, while Campbell has tallied seven goals and six assists in Northeastern's victories.
