BOSTON – Coming off two straight CAA wins, the Northeastern women's basketball team (6-8. 2-2 CAA) is set to host College of Charleston (11-5, 3-2 CAA) in its Alumnae Game on Sunday, January 21. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m. on FloHoops.
As part of Northeastern's Alumnae Weekend, all alumnae in attendance will be recognized at halftime. Early arriving fans will also receive a Northeastern insulated tote!
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- LAST TIME OUT – Deja Bristol tallied her second double-double of the season, and the Huskies used a big first quarter to take down the Hofstra Pride on Sunday afternoon at the Cabot Center. Bristol had a strong day, tallying eight of her points and seven rebounds in the second half. The senior has tallied double-digits in eight games this season, and in each of the past five games.
- CAREER DAY FOR BATTS – Jaelyn Batts scored a career-high 17 points in Northeastern's 79-49 victory over UNCW on Friday. Batts tallied 10 of her 17 points in the second half, and finished 8-of-11 with six rebounds, five assists and three steals. She also has 5+ assists in the past three games, most recently having seven in the win over Hofstra.
- FROM DEEP – The Huskies rank first in the CAA in 3-point field goal percentage at .352. Derin Erdogan is third in the conference with 34 three-pointers, and Maddie Vizza is eighth with 32.
After Charleston, the Huskies will head to Delaware on Friday, January 26. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. on FloHoops.
