BOSTON – The Northeastern women's basketball team (6-9, 2-3 CAA) is set to travel to Delaware to face the Blue Hens (6-11, 2-3 CAA) on Friday, January 26 at 7 p.m., and then host Campbell (9-8, 2-4 CAA) in its National Girls and Women in Sports Day game on Sunday, January 28 at 2 p.m. Both games will stream on FloHoops, and Sunday's will also be on NESN.
For the National Girls and Women in Sports Day game, the Huskies will have a post-autograph session with athletes from NU women's teams, and there will be a husky scrunchie giveaway.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- LAST TIME OUT VS. DELAWARE – Northeastern and Delaware last met on January 5 in Boston, with the Blue Hens winning by a score of 86-73. Derin Erdogan notched a career-high 32 points in the defeat, and she was joined in double-figures with Deja Bristol (13 points) and Yirsy Queliz (10 points). The Blue Hens shoot 43.9% overall in the contest, but dominated the Huskies in bench points with 37 points compared to nine for Northeastern.
- SCOUTIN THE CAMELS – The Camels are coming off a thrilling 75-73 overtime victory over first-place Stony Brook on Sunday. In the win, Christabel Ezumah scored a career-high 28 points, and snapped the Seawolves' 10-game winning streak. Campbell is averaging 62.4 points per game, and Ezumah leads the squad averaging 8.6 points per game.
- DOUBLE-TROUBLE – Deja Bristol has tallied two straight double-doubles, most recently tying a career-high with 18 points to go with 10 rebounds in Sunday's game against Charleston. Bristol also has double-digits in six straight games, and nine so far this season.
After Delaware and Campbell, the Huskies will head to Elon to face the Phoenix on Friday, February 2. Tip-off is slated for 11 a.m. on FloHoops.
