Men's Basketball To Battle CCSU At Atlantic Slam In Moncton, New Brunswick

MONCTON, New Brunswick – Atlantic Slam, in partnership with the City of Moncton, On Ice Entertainment, and the Big South Conference, announced that the Northeastern men's basketball team will take on Central Connecticut State on Saturday, November 16 at the Avenir Centre in New Brunswick. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ beginning at 7 p.m.

"We're very excited to participate in the Atlantic Slam this November," said head coach Bill Coen. "Northeastern University is a global institution with two campus locations in Canada, and the opportunity for our student-athletes to compete abroad aligns perfectly with our university goals. We are looking forward to our upcoming trip to Moncton and tipping off against a very talented Central Connecticut State team."

The matchup in Moncton will replace the game between the Huskies and Blue Devils that was originally scheduled for Sunday, November 17 at Matthews Arena in Boston.

"Moncton has established itself as a premier sport-hosting city, and Atlantic Slam is another great addition to our annual roster of exciting events," said Bill Whalen, Co-Chair of the City of Moncton's Events Moncton Committee. "Bringing NCAA basketball to Atlantic Canada is breaking barriers, and we're proud to be at the forefront of that movement. It's great for the growth of basketball in Moncton, and we're thrilled to welcome these talented teams to our city."

Tickets for the November 16 game against CCSU are available at the Avenir Centre box office and by clicking here.
