Northeastern Back In Action Against New Hampshire

BOSTON, Mass. — The Northeastern men's hockey team is prepped for their third home-and-home series against Hockey East opponent, New Hampshire. Friday night's game (Nov. 15) will be the Huskies first game on NESN this season at Whittemore Center. The boys will return back home for a Saturday night (Nov. 16) tilt.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. WE'RE FEELIN' 22: Surpassing his point total through the opening seven games from the 2023-24 season, defenseman Vinny Borgesi has recorded eight points in the first seven contests this year. He currently leads all NU skaters with seven assists, while tacking on his goal against Stonehill. With 13 blocks on the season, the assistant captain ties for the lead on the season with fellow defenseman Jackson Dorrington.
  2. THE ROOKIEThis past weekend, freshman Joe Connor found an itch for scoring against No. 11 Providence. Just 1:16 into game one of their weekend series, Connor tallied his first collegiate goal to only be followed up by shootout winner later than evening. The New Hampshire native would continue his performance with a go-ahead goal in the first period in game two for his second tally in as many games. Connor currently leads all NU rookies with three points with his added assist against No. 1 Denver.
  3. NOT YOUR AVERAGE JO: Making his Northeastern debut, coming of an injury, junior defenseman Joaquim Lemay has already provided a positive impact to the Huskies blueline depth. In his first two games as a Husky, the transfer from Nebraska Omaha tallied two points with an assist on Connor's first goal against the Friars and with the game-tying goal to force overtime last Saturday. Additionally, Lemay collected eight shots on goal and two blocked shots.
