BOSTON — The No. RV/20 Northeastern men's hockey team hosts Merrimack College this Wednesday (March 13) for a Hockey East Opening Round matchup, beginning at 7:15 p.m. on ESPN+.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. THE WHITEY WALL: In his first collegiate season, goaltender Cameron Whitehead has remained a constant in Northeastern's lineup, starting in 33-of-34 games. The freshman finished the regular season on a career-high 43 saves against No. 11/10 Providence, tallying his 19th game with 30+ saves. Within the league, the Ontario native leads all Hockey East goaltenders with 684 saves and is tied for fourth with a .913 save percentage. Additionally, Whitehead's 955 total saves this season ranks sixth in the country.
  2. THE ROOKIE: The rookie, Dylan Hryckowian, has solidified his place on the Huskies' topline for majority the season. In his last four outings, he has recorded seven points from one goal and six assists. Closing out the regular season, the 5-10 forward ranks eighth in both assists (15) and points (19) among all Hockey East freshmen.
  3. AND THE VET: In the Huskies most recent outing with Providence, Alex Campbell recorded his second hat trick of the season, tying him for first in the NCAA. The Quebec native also surpassed the 20-goal mark against the Friars, giving him a team- and career-high 21 goals on the year (tied for ninth in the country).
