WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Northeastern men's basketball team will take on Stony Brook in the Second Round of the 2024 Jersey Mike's CAA Championship on Saturday, March 9 at 6 p.m. at the Entertainment & Sports Arena. The game will be streamed on FloHoops.
 
The Huskies finished the regular season at 7-11 and will be the No. 10 seed in the tournament. The Seawolves are the tournament's No. 7 seed following a 10-8 mark in CAA play.

Stony Brook took both meetings between the two teams during the regular season: a 62-53 matchup at Matthews Arena in January and a 59-55 battle on Long Island in February. Saturday will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams in CAA tournament play; the two played once in the postseason as members of the America East, a 90-79 Northeastern victory on March 5, 2005.
 
Masai Troutman averaged 12.5 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game and shot 41% from the field against Stony Brook this season, while Chris Doherty had 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting in the January 4 matchup before missing the February 3 contest with a lower body injury.
 
The winner of the Northeastern-Stony Brook game will advance to face No. 2 Drexel in the conference quarterfinals on Sunday night at 6 p.m.
