Exilhomme Set To Race At NCAA Championships In Boston

BOSTON — Junior sprinter Ethan Exilhomme is set to run at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, beginning Friday, March 8 at the Track at New Balance. Exilhomme, the school record holder in the 60m hurdles and the 60m dash, was announced as a participant in 60m hurdles of the Championships last Tuesday, Feb. 27, and be among the 16 best hurdlers this indoor season.

Exilhomme will run in the semifinal round at 5:05 p.m. Friday, March 8 among a field of 16 competitors hoping to move onto the final round, Friday March 9 at 4:40 p.m. The Tewskbury, Massachusetts native qualified for the Championship with a time of 7.60 seconds at the Track At New Balance Collegiate Showdown in January, breaking his own school record and tying for the fifth-best time in the NCAA this season. He also won the 60m dash at the CAA Indoor Championships and broke a school record in the preliminary round with a time of 6.68 seconds.

This will be Exilhomme's second appearance at an NCAA Track & Field Championship after qualifying for 110m hurdles at the Outdoor Championships in 2023, finishing 17th with a time of 13.69 seconds. He will be just the 14th athlete in Northeastern track and field history to race at the Indoor Championships and is the first since 2015, when Paul Duffey ran in the 800m.

The meet will stream on ESPN+ beginning Friday at 9 a.m.
