LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Northeastern women's track & field team opened up their NCAA East Preliminaries performances at the University of Kentucky Thursday, competing on the second day of competition.
Fifth year
Dominique Biron had one of the best performances of her season, reaching 6.16 meters on her third and final jump. That mark was just outside the qualifying 12 for the NCAA Championships, earning her 13th place in the East. She improved upon her mark from the previous year of 5.96 meters. Biron will also be continuing onto the NCAA Championships anyways as she earned an automatic qualification in the heptathlon based on her mark of 5,699 points earlier this year.
