NU Hosts UConn At Friedman Diamond Tuesday

BOSTON - The Northeastern University baseball team (32-13) returns home on Tuesday afternoon, May 7th to face the University of Connecticut (27-19) for the second half a home-and-home midweek season series - first pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. and will stream on NESN+ and FloBaseball.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:

1. RECENT FORM

The Northeastern Huskies come into the week off a tough weekend series at North Carolina A&T, dropping a Friday double header but responding with a game three win on Saturday. Northeastern is 5-5 in its last 10 contests, with a series sweep over Elon at home in that stretch. UConn bounced back after a slow start to the season, currently holding a 9-1 record in its last 10 games. The UConn Huskies had a nine game winning streak snapped by Seton Hall this past weekend, but with a game three win they secured their fifth straight Big East series victory.

2. THE HOME STRETCH
Northeastern has just four home games left on the schedule including Tuesday's match up with UConn. After traveling to Charleston this weekend, the Huskies return home to Friedman Diamond for the final series of the regular season, hosting Stony Brook in a three-game series starting on Thursday, May 16th. The Huskies are 13-3 at home so far this season.

3. HUSKIES VS HUSKIES
Northeastern and UConn will face off for the second time this season, marking the third time in the last four seasons that the two squads have met twice in a season. Northeastern currently owns a three-game winning streak in the all-time series, but all three of those wins came at Elliot Ballpark in Storrs. Northeastern hasn't defeated UConn on its home turf since 2013, in a 4-2 victory over the other Huskies. UConn currently leads the all-time series 60-21-1.

After their midweek contest, the Huskies hit the road for the second to last CAA series of the season, traveling to South Carolina to face the Charleston Cougars in a three-game series beginning on Friday, May 10 at 4 p.m. on FloBaseball.
