Huskies Ready For Primetime Monday Night Vs. Towson

BOSTON – Coming off a hard-fought victory over Drexel on Thursday, the Northeastern men's basketball team will look to build on that momentum when the Huskies host Towson on Monday night at Matthews Arena. Tip-off is set for 9 p.m. in front of a national television audience on the CBS Sports Network.

Monday will be Northeastern's Coaches vs. Cancer game at Matthews Arena. Coaches vs. Cancer is a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Forover 30 years, this initiative has engaged coaches nationwide to leverage their leadership and influence to support the American Cancer's Society's vision to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.

FOUR THINGS TO KNOW

1. SERIES HISTORY AGAINST TOWSON

Northeastern leads the all-time series with Towson, 29-22. This is the second meeting of the season between the two teams, with the Tigers earning an 80-73 win three weeks ago in Towson. Four Huskies reached double figures that night, led by 22 points from LA Pratt. Each of the last seven meetings have been decided by single digits.

2. HOME AGAIN, HOME AGAIN
Northeastern is back in Matthews Arena, where the Huskies are 5-2 this season. The Huskies are averaging 71.6 points per game at home and shooting 46% from the floor. Three players are averaging double figures at home this season, led by Rashad King's 17.0 points per game and 4.6 assists per game.

3. FROM DISTANCE
The Huskies, who struggled shooting the three early in the season, had a breakout night on Jan. 9 at Towson with a season-high 11 makes from deep. Northeastern finished 11-of-25 on the night, led by four apiece from Rashad King and JB Frankel.

Northeastern is shooting 35% from three-point range in CAA play (fourth in the league), led by a 49% clip from Frankel including a 5-of-6 night on Thursday against Drexel.

4. PARKING FOR HOME GAMES AT MATTHEWS ARENA
Fans attending Athletic events at Matthews Arena are able to park in the Columbus Avenue Garage during the event free of charge.  The garage is open to fans two (2) hours prior to game time.
