Huskies Back To Hockey East Action

BOSTON, Mass. — The Northeastern men's hockey team is back to Hockey East action this weekend against the UMass Minutemen. They will host game one on Friday, Jan. 10 for their annual Skating Strides game before heading to Mullins Arena on Saturday, Jan. 11.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. SKATING FOR A CURE: In partnership with the Ellie Fund, Northeastern's Skating Strides game looks to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. An in-person jersey auction will be held during the game with all proceeds benefitting the Ellie Fund.
  2. IRON CAM: Sophomore goaltender Cameron Whitehead is coming into this weekend with back-to-back wins against Alaska Anchorage and No. 18/17 Quinnipiac. On the year, the Ontario native has posted a .911 save percentage through 18 games played. This season, he has recorded over 30+ saves on nine occasions, including a season-high 40 against, at the time, No. 1 Denver.
  3. THE HRYCKOWIAN HAT TRICK: Last Saturday (Jan. 4) against No. 18/17 Quinnipiac, sophomore Dylan Hryckowian tallied his first collegiate hat trick to help to the Huskies to a 5-1 victory. The Quebec native currently leads NU with a team-high 11 goals while adding eight assists for 19 points. He is also the other half of only two Huskies to have recorded at least one point in every win this season, alongside Jack Williams, having collected 11 points from seven goals and four assists.
