Northeastern Welcomes No. 7 Denver This Saturday

BOSTON, Mass. — Northeastern and No. 7 Denver meet for the second-straight season this Saturday, Oct. 25 after last year's two-game set in Denver, Colo. This weekend's matchup will take place at 7 p.m. at Matthews Arena as a part of Friends and Family Weekend.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. ICE TRAIL TALES: In last year's series, junior Dylan Hryckowian scored twice, senior Vinny Borgesi tallied two assists, and sophomore Joe Connor added an assist. This Saturday marks Denver's first visit to Matthews Arena since 2004 -- and its final trip before the historic building close after the New Year.
  2. EVERY GAME, EVERY POINTJunior Tyler Fukakusa and rookie Jacob Mathieu are the only two Huskies to record a point in every game this season. Fukakusa leads NU with four assists in three games, while his linemate Mathieu has three points (1g, 2a). The duo continues to drive the Huskies' offense, both assisting on the game-winning goal in the upset over No. 11 UMass.
  3. RISING STARSNortheastern's rookie class has made an immediate impact -- while six freshmen showing across the line chart in all three positions -- with at least one rookie recording a point in every game this season. The group has combined for seven points through three games (2.3 points per game) as the Huskies have opened the season 2-1-0.
