AMESBURY, Mass.— Senior
Kristina Allard of the No. 9 Northeastern women's hockey team was named the Hockey East Defender of the Week as announced on Monday. Allard guided the Huskies to a weekend sweep over crosstown rival Boston University.

The Kingston, New Hampshire native, led all Huskies with four points on the weekend, off one goal and three assists. In Friday's 3-1 victory, Allard had an assist on the game-winning goal. She followed up that performance with a career-high, three-point outing in Saturday's 7-3 victory, with the game-winning goal and two assists. Allard finished the weekend with six blocks and a +2 rating.

Allard and Huskies are back in action with a two-game series against Vermont beginning on Friday, Nov. 7 at 1:30 p.m. in Matthews Arena.
