No. 11 Northeastern Hosts No. 20 Boston University In Final Game At Matthews Arena

BOSTON, Mass. — In a fitting finale, the Northeastern men's hockey team will host Boston University on Saturday, Dec. 13 for the last ever Huskies' home event at Matthews Arena. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. on NESN, with an on-ice ceremony following the game as the Northeastern community says farewell to 94 seasons of hockey history.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. DAWG FIGHT: BU holds the overall advantage in the all-time series with a 175-72-11 record over Northeastern. Across their last 20 meetings, however, the Huskies hold a 11-8-1 edge and has outshot the Terriers, 50-48.
  2. HOW 'BOUT THEM HUSKIES: Northeastern currently sits at a 10-5-0 record, its best first-semester mark since the 2021-22 season when the Huskies posted a 13-5-1 record heading into the holiday break. Through 15 games, NU has outscored its opponents 43-30, averaging 2.9 goals per game while holding teams to just 2.0. The Huskies prep for their final game of the semester coming off two winning months to open the season, going 5-1 in October and 4-3 in November. They have five victories over ranked opponents, including then-#7 Denver, #11 UMass, a sweep of #11/10 Boston College, and #18/19 Boston University.
  3. MAYZE AND AMAZE: Senior defenseman Austen May reached a milestone on Sunday, Dec. 7, skating in his 100th career game against UMass—becoming the third Northeastern skater to hit the century mark alongside fellow blue liners Vinny Borgesi and Joaquim Lemay. May has appeared in all 15 games this season and leads all NU defensemen with four points (2g, 2a) since transferring to Northeastern, opening his Huskies career with a two-assist performance in a 6-4 win over Holy Cross.
