Huskies Wrap Up Non-Conference Play At BC

BOSTON -- The Northeastern women's basketball team (3-6, 0-0 CAA) makes a short trip to Chestnut Hill to face Boston College (4-9, 0-1 ACC) on Friday, December 19 at 12 p.m. to wrap up the non-conference portion of NU's schedule. The game will be played at Conte Forum and streamed on ACCNX.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

1. LAST TIME OUT: The Huskies dropped a 52-71 decision to UMass at the Cabot Center on Tuesday night. Sophomore guard Camryn Collins and graduate student guard Nariyah Simmons each tallied a team-high 12 points to pace all Huskies. Simmons also added six rebounds off the bench, while freshman guard Kailee Beaudion-Foliaki contributed a career-high 12 points and six rebounds in 26 minutes of action, her first game since November 15th.

2. SCOUTING THE EAGLES: Northeastern trails the all-time series 13-21 against the Eagles, with Boston College winning the last 10 matchups. The Huskies' last victory over BC came in 1993. The teams most recently met on November 11, 2024, when the Eagles claimed a 92-46 victory at Conte Forum. Boston College enters Friday's matchup with a 4-9 record after dropping four of its last five games. The Eagles are coming off an 80-71 loss to Bryant on Tuesday and are led by sophomore guard Lily Carmody, who is averaging 12.8 points per game.

3. DYNAMIC BACKCOURT DUO: Sophomore guard Camryn Collins and junior guard Yirsy Quéliz continue to lead the Huskies' offensive attack. Collins paces the team with 12.6 points per game and has scored in double figures in six of nine games this season. She posted a career-high 19 points against Sacred Heart, going 11-for-13 from the free throw line. The Foxboro, Massachusetts native is averaging 1.2 steals per game and has provided a consistent scoring punch for the Huskies, shooting 41.2% from the field on the season. Quéliz is second on the team with 11.9 points per game, along with 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest. The Dominican Republic native has tallied double figures in all but two of Northeastern's nine games so far, with a career-high 22 points at Merrimack on six made three-pointers.

Following Friday's game at Boston College, the Huskies will begin CAA play on the road for the first weekend, with their first two games scheduled for Friday, January 2 at UNCW, and Sunday January 4th at the College of Charleston. Tip-off for the first game of that weekend is set for 7 p.m. on FloCollege.
