BOSTON – The Northeastern men's basketball team opens conference play with three games in six days through North Carolina, beginning on Monday night at Elon (7pm) and Wednesday afternoon at North Carolina A&T (3 p.m.). Both games will be streamed on FloCollege.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
1. SERIES HISTORY VS. THIS WEEK'S OPPONENTS
Northeastern and Elon will be meeting for the 22nd time, with the Huskies holding a 13-8 edge in the all-time series. The teams have split the last four meetings, including an 84-72 NU win at Elon on Jan. 20, 2024 in which
Bill Coen became the CAA's all-time wins leader.
Wednesday's matchup with the Aggies will be the fourth meeting between the two teams. Northeastern leads the series, 2-1, including a 69-55 victory last season in Boston.
2. HUSKIES IN CAA OPENERS
The Huskies are 14-6 all-time in CAA openers, including victories in 11 of the last 13 seasons. Of those 11 victories, five came on the road.
3. HEATING UP FROM DEEP
William Kermoury had it going for the Huskies on Dec. 7 vs. CCSU, finishing the night a career-best 6-of-12 from three-point range, the most threes made for a Husky since 2023. He's also just one of eight players in the CAA to hit at least six threes in a game this season.
As a team, the Huskies have hit 10 threes or more in a game twice this season, including a 10-of-21 night at Rhode Island on Dec. 22.
