BOSTON – Northeastern track and field senior Leila Curtis has been named the CAA Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Curtis earned the first week honor following an outstanding performance at the HBCU and Ivy League Challenge on Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Gordon Indoor Track.
The Dix Hills, N.Y. native dominated the shot put competition, recording a mark of 15.24 meters to claim second place. Leila's impressive throw now ranks them 9th in the nation in the Shot Put and 4th All-Time in Northeastern history.
Northeastern will continue its indoor championship campaign as the team prepares for upcoming meets throughout 2026.
