BOSTON - Northeastern track and field completed the Friar Invitational and the first day of the Miami Hurricane Invitiational on Friday evening, highlighted by junior
Ryan Sarney's fourth place 3000m steeplechase finish.
FRIAR INVITATIONAL
- In the mile open, junior Keira Gamily took sixth place, crossing the finish line at 5:08.03.Â
- Senior Conall Rogers raced in the 800m earning tenth place in 1:54.28.
- Placing fourth in the 3000m steeplechase, junior Ryan Sarney raced to a 8:57.76Â finish. With this time, Sarney adds his name to the Northeastern all-time list at fourth.
- The Huskies showed strength in the men's 5000m, claiming three of the top six spots. Graduate student Ryan Slaney finished third (14:19.97), sophomore Nico Boyle took fourth (14:26.16), and freshman Jack Seagroatt placed sixth (14:30.67).
MIAMI HURRICANE INVITATIONAL
- Sophomore Jaice Dorsey was the lone Husky to compete in Miami on Friday. Dorsey took home eighth place in the long jump, leaping to a 5.72m mark.
The Huskies are back in competition tomorrow, entering the second day of the Miami Hurricane Invitational and beginning the UMass Commowealth Invitational.
