THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
1. THE LONG ROAD TO FRIEDMAN
- The Huskies' home opener comes after a 14-game road trip which ends with Bryant on Wednesday. A common trend in the Northeastern Baseball schedule, Northeastern spent its first four weekends playing away from New England before playing its local games in March. The Huskies currently hold an 8-5 record (6-4 in true road games, 2-1 in neutral site games) away from home, which is currently the fourth-best record upon returning to Friedman in the Mike Glavine era.

2. SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
- Bryant enters the week after taking one of three at Dayton, winning the final game 7-4. Bryant plays at Rhode Island on Tuesday afternoon before hosting the Huskies on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are currently batting .248 with 42 extra base hits. For the weekend series, the Harvard Crimson come in 0-9 after a tough road schedule to begin their season, including match ups against Michigan State and No. 7 Florida. It'll be the first meeting between NU and Harvard since the 2023 Beanpot opening round, where the Crimson squeezed out a one-run win at Friedman Diamond.
3. PROTECT THE FORTRESS
- Northeastern went 17-3 on their home turf of Friedman Diamond last season, winning three of its four home CAA series' on the year. In the Glavine era, the Huskies are 134-50, with one tie (.727) playing at their home stadium in Brookline. 2024's mark was the second-best home record in the Glavine era, with a .850 winning percentage placing just behind 2021's 21-2 record (.913). The Huskies have posted a winning percentage over .500 in every season in the Glavine Era (2015-present).
