Northeastern Wraps Competition At Doc Hosea Invite

CHERRY HILL, N.J.— The Northeastern women's rowing team opened its 2025 spring season at the Doc Hosea Invite on Saturday Morning on the Cooper River. Going against a competitive field that included two top-15 crews in Penn and Rutgers, the Huskies battled to advance all six of their crews to the Grand Finals.
  • The first varsity eight, stroked by Heather Taylor, placed third behind Rutgers and Penn crossing the finish line in 6:36.560. The Huskies edged out Navy for their third-place finish, by under two hundredths of a second.
  • Stroked by Victoria Thibeault, the second varsity eight also took home a third-place finish with a time of 6:47.117.
  • Northeastern's first varsity four finished in a time of 7:55.597 and the second varsity four crossed the finish line at 7:40.820.
  • In the final race of the day, Northeastern's third and fourth varsity eights finished in third and fourth place, respectively. The third varsity eight finished with a time of 7:03.359 and the fourth varsity eight had a time of 7:05.701. 
The Huskies make their 2025 debut on the Charles next weekend as they compete on Saturday, April 5 against Boston University, Dartmouth and MIT.
