WASHINGTON, D.C. – It's tournament week, and the Northeastern men's basketball team has touched down in the nation's capital for the 2025 Jersey Mike's CAA Men's Basketball Championship. Second Round action for the No. 7 Huskies begins on Saturday night against No. 10 Hampton at 6 p.m. on FloCollege.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
1. SERIES HISTORY VS. HAMPTON
Northeastern and Hampton split the season series this year as the teams prepare to meet for the first time at the Jersey Mike's CAA Men's Basketball Championship. The Huskies own a 3-1 edge in the all-time series.
Rashad King averaged 21.5 points per game and shot 56% from the floor with nine assists in the two games vs. Hampton this season, while Northeastern shot 52% as a team.

2. NORTHEASTERN IN THE CAA CHAMPIONSHIP
The Huskies are making their 20th appearance in the CAA Championship, and is 21-17 all-time in the conference tournament. NU is looking to advance to the CAA Quarterfinals for the 16th time.

Northeastern has won two CAA championships in 2015 and 2019, while head coach
Bill Coen is 19-16 in the conference tournament during his 18 years at Northeastern. He is the winningest coach in CAA Championship history, and is also one win away from his 300th career victory.

3. GRAND THEFT
The Huskies recorded 16 steals on Mar. 1 at William & Mary, the most in a game for Northeastern since Dec. 2, 2017 vs. Cornell.Â
Luca Soroa had five steals in 13 minutes off the bench, the most for a Northeastern freshman since Sean Occeus vs. Maine on Nov. 20, 2016.

The Tribe's 25 turnovers in that game were also the most for a Northeastern opponent in more than 15 years. The Huskies have recorded 10+ steals nine times this season and are averaging 7.6 steals per game, tops in the CAA.
