BOSTON — This weekend, the Northeastern women's rowing team heads to Fairlee, Vt. to compete at the Lake Morey Regatta. The pool of teams includes Cornell, No. 22 Dartmouth and Rhode Island.
NU will compete in a total of 11 races, beginning at 8:10 a.m. with the third varsity eight and conclude at 11:30 a.m. with the fourth varsity eight.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- LAST TIME OUT: The Huskies' varsity eight defeated Boston University by 1.4 seconds to bring home the Council Cup last Saturday. The varsity eight clocked a time of 6:44.3 to take second place with a photo finish against No. 18 Columbia in their final home race of the season. The victory earned the varsity eight CAA Boat of the Week honors.
- FAMILIAR FOE: NU competed against No. 22 Dartmouth earlier this season on the Charles River on April 5. With various close finishes from the Huskies, the third varsity eight captured a win over the Big Green with a time of 7:11.7.
- READY FOR THE RAMS: During the 2023-24 season, Northeastern faced Rhode Island on April 13 for their final race on the Charles River. NU was victorious in all five races against the Rams. The varsity eight took first place by a 16.3 seconds, while the varsity four defeated URI by 19.1 seconds.
