Huskies Set For 50th Annual Eastern Sprints

BOSTON — Postseason racing commences for the Northeastern women's rowing team this Sunday, May 4 at the 50th annual Women's Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester. NU will kick off the day at 8:20 a.m. with the varsity eight.
 
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. EASTERN SPRINTS: The Huskies will send six boats onto the water this weekend with four eights and two fours. The varsity eight will begin the day for Northeastern at 8:20 a.m. Heats will run from 8:20-10:30 a.m. and finals begin at 1:40 p.m. with the fourth varsity eight.
  2. LAST TIME OUT: With the bye weekend behind them, NU most recently raced at the Lake Morey Regatta on April 19. The Huskies swept all NCAA events on the day, claiming a four-for-four sweep over Rhode Island in session one and going four-for-five against Cornell in session two.
  3. LOOKING AHEAD: Northeastern will battle for its 11th-straight CAA Championship title in Cherry Hill, N.J. The 2025 CAA Rowing Championships will take place over the course of two days with the heats competing on Friday, May 16 and the finals competing on Saturday, May 17.
