Huskies Wrap Day One At NCAA Championship

WEST WINDSOR, N.J.— The Northeastern women's rowing team advanced all three boats to the C/D semifinal races on Saturday after heats on day one of the 2025 NCAA Rowing Championship at Mercer Lake.
  • The first varsity eight, stroked by Heather Taylor, started the day for the Huskies, placing fifth in their heat with a time of 6:35.426.
  • Stroked by Liv Oyen, the second varsity eight also placed in fifth in their heat with a time of 6:37.627, just under three seconds behind UCF in fourth.
  • The Huskies' varsity four wrapped up racing on day one with a fifth-place finish in a time of 7:33.360. 
In Saturday's semifinals, the top three crews advance to the C final, while the remainder advance to the D final. The first varsity eight will begin the day at 9:04 a.m., followed by the second varsity eight at 9:20 a.m. and the varsity four at 9:36 a.m.
