Second Varsity Eight Advances to C Final

WEST WINDSOR, N.J.— The Northeastern women's rowing team's second varsity eight advanced to the C Final and the Huskies' first varsity eight and varsity four advanced to their respective D final races on Sunday after semifinals on day two of the 2025 NCAA Rowing Championship at Mercer Lake.
  • The first varsity eight, stroked by Heather Taylor, placed fourth in the semifinal in a time of 6:23.125, just under two seconds behind third place Dartmouth.
  • For the first time since 2019, the second varsity eight advanced to the C Final. Stroked by Liv Oyen, Northeastern finished in a time of 6:28.284 to advance to the C Final. The Huskies finished just .396 seconds behind second-place Dartmouth in their semifinal.  
  • The Huskies' varsity four, stroked by Piper Larin, wrapped up racing on day two with a fifth-place finish in a time of 7:21.813.
Northeastern will close out the NCAA Championship with the varsity four beginning the day at 7:12 a.m., followed by the second varsity eight at 7:36 a.m. and the first varsity eight at 7:44 a.m.
