BOSTON – The Northeastern men's hockey program unveiled its roster for the 2025-26 season and announced its 14 newcomers on Monday afternoon.
The incoming group consists of nine freshman, four transfers and is comprised of eight forwards, four defensemen and two goaltenders.
#4 – Dylan Compton | Freshman | Defenseman | Victoria, British Columbia
Waterloo Black Hawks (USHL)
- Played for the Waterloo Black Hawks for a season and a half (2024-25), tallying 55 points from six goals and 49 assists in 86 games
- Led the league with 26 power-play assists and 11 playoff assists, before being named to the USHL Second All-Star Team
- Attended the 2025 Seattle Kraken development camp
- Won gold at the 2023 World Jr. A Challenge with Team Canada West
#6 – Grayson Badger | Freshman | Forward | Hyde Park, Mass.
Alberni Valley Bulldogs (BCHL)
- Played two seasons with the Alberni Valley (2023-25) and led the Bulldogs in points (57), goals (22) and assists (35) during the 2024-25 season
- Took Alberni Valley to the BCHL Tournament semifinals in 2023-24, tallying 20 playoff points from eight goals and 12 assists
- Spent two seasons playing for Brookline High, serving as captain during his sophomore season (2019-20)
- Named a Boston Globe All-Star/All-Scholastic recipient and Boston Herald All-Scholastic recipient in 2020
#9 – Noah Jones | Freshman | Defenseman | Bridgewater, N.J.
Omaha Lancers (BCHL)
- Played two season with the Omaha Lancers (2023-25), serving as assistant captain in 2024-25
- Tallied 29 career points with Omaha from nine goals and 20 assists
- Skated with the Wenatchee Wild for the 2022-23 season, helping them to the BCHL Playoff Second Round
- Competed at the 2021 U16 Nationals and was named a U16 USPHL All-Star in 2019-20
#15 – Giacomo Martino | Freshman | Forward | Toronto, Ontario
Sioux City Musketeers (USHL)
- Played two seasons with the Sioux City Musketeers (2023-25), leading the USHL with 74 points during the 2024-25 season with 32 goals (3rd in USHL) and 42 assists (T-2nd in USHL)
- Helped the Musketeers to the 2025 Clark Cup Conference semifinals and was named a USHL First Team All-Star
- Skated two seasons with St. Michael's Buzzers (2021-23), tallying 122 career points (57g, 65a) in 106 games and was named a two-time First Team All-Prospect
- Won a silver medal with Team Canada at the 2022 World Junior A Challenge
#21 – Jack Pechar | Freshman | Forward | Niskayuna, N.Y.
Lincoln Stars (USHL)
- Played for the Lincoln Stars for two seasons (2023-25), ranking sixth in the USHL with 61 points (27g, 34a) and tied for second with six game-winning goals in 2024-25
- Served as assistant captain during 2024-25 season, helping the Stars win the 2025 Anderson Cup for the first time since 2003 and matched a franchise record for most wins in a season (43) en route to the Clark Cup Western Conference Finals and All USHL Second Team honors
- Won a gold medal at the 2024 World Junior A Challenge with Team USA, serving as an assistant captain
- Skated with the South Kent School from 2021-23, serving as an assistant captain in both seasons and named a two-time MVP
#24 – Austen May | Senior | Defenseman | Woodhaven, Mich.
Sioux Falls Stampede (USHL) // Providence (Hockey East)
- Played three years with Providence, recording eight goals and 23 assists in 85 games and helped the Friars to an appearance in the 2025 NCAA Tournament
- Played 26 games for Sioux Falls in 2022, serving as an assistant captain and recording 11 points from three goals and eight assists
- Appeared in 35 games with the Chicago Steel during the 2021-22 season, tallying six points from one goal and five assists
- Took second place with Team USA at the 2019 Five Nations
#26 – Dylan Finlay | Senior | Defenseman | Montréal, Quebec
Powell River Kings (BCHL) // Alaska Anchorage
- Played three years with Alaska Anchorage, recording eight goals and nine assists in 79 games
- Skated with the Powell River Kings in 2021-22, serving as team captain
- Finished with 22 points from six goals and 16 assists in 49 games, all ranking second among all River Kings' defensemen
- Played for the Maryland Black Bears during the 2020-21 season, recording 11 points (2g, 9a) in 33 games and helping Maryland to the Robertson Cup Division finals
#33 – Amine Hajibi | Freshman | Forward | Montréal, Quebec
Cedar Rapids RoughRiders (USHL)
- Played for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders from 2023-25, tallying 20 goals and 34 assists for 54 points in 58 games
- Tied for 12th in assists and 14th in points among all skaters in the USHL regular season and helped the RoughRiders to the 2025 Clark Cup playoffs
- Attended the 2025 Vancouver Canucks development camp
- Won the 2018 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with Collège Jean de la Mennais Amiral, tying for the tournament highs in goals (4) and points (5)
#35 – Matt DellaRusso | Freshman | Goaltender | Darien, Conn.
Maine Nordiques (NAHL)
- Spent the 2024-25 season with the Maine Nordiques, seeing action in 20 games, recording a .918 save percentage, a 2.23 goals against average and 9-4-4- record
- Played the 2023-24 season with the West Kelowna Warriors, playing in 11 regular season games, recording a .873 save percentage and 7-2-0 record
- Helped the Warriors to the BCHL Tournament quarterfinals, collecting a .833 playoff save percentage
- Played youth hockey with the Brooks Bandits, Mid Fairfield and New Canaan Winter Club
#47 – Lawton Zacher | Junior | Goaltender | Buffalo, N.Y.
Minot Minotauros (NAHL) // Brown (ECAC)
- Played two seasons with Brown from 2023-25, recording a 20-25-5 record, a .913 save percentage and a 2.68 goals against average in 54 games played
- Was named a Mike Richter Award semifinalist, a Walter Brown Award semifinalist, a New England Division I All-Star, Hobey Baker nominee, First Team All-Ivy and Second Team All-ECAC during the 2024-25 season
- Spent the 2022-23 season with the NAHL's Minot Minotauros, posting a 2.58 goals against average and a .920 save percentage in 29 games, along with three shutouts
- Spent two seasons at the Nichols School (2020-22) where he was an assistant captain, recording a .948 save percentage in 2020-21 and a .931 in 2021-22 with a combined 30-13-5 record
#51 – Matthew Perkins | Junior | Forward | Balgonie, Saskatchewan
Youngstown Phantoms (USHL) | Minnesota Duluth (NCHC)
- Played two years with Minnesota Duluth, recording seven goals and 13 assists in 64 games and was named a two-time NCHC Academic All-Conference team honoree and a two-time NCHC Rookie of the Week in 2023-24
- Played with the Youngstown Phantoms for the 2022-23 season, recording 44 points (15g, 29a) in 60 regular season games and won the 2023 Clark Cup after winning the USHL's Eastern Conference
- Skated for the Humboldt Broncos in 2021-22, finishing with 23 goals and 36 assists for 59 points while helping the Broncos to the Canalta Cup semifinals and was named the Broncos' Rookie of the Year
- Drafted by the Vancouver Canucks with the 119th overall pick (fourth round) of the 2023 NHL draft
#81 – Jacob Mathieu | Freshman | Forward | St-Odilon, Quebec
Rimouski Océanic (QMJHL)
- Skated for Rimouski Océanic for five seasons (2020-2025), serving as two captain for the past two season (2023-25) and recorded 244 career points (138g, 106a) in 302 career games
- Recorded a career-high 68 points (41g, 27a) in 2024-25, helping the Océanic clinch the East Division regular season title for a run to QMJHL playoffs championship game and was named Team MVP
- Attended the 2024 and 2025 Vegas Golden Knights development camps
- Skated two season with Lévis Chevaliers (2019-21), tallying 26 career points in 47 games and served as captain in 2020-21
#91 – Tyler Fukakusa | Junior | Forward | Mississauga, Ontario
Toronto Jr. Canadiens (OJHL) // Rochester Institute of Technology (AHA)
- Played two years with Rochester Institute of Technology where he recorded 64 points (18g, 46A) in 74 games and in 2024-25, he tied fourth in the nation with 27 assists (led the AHA) and tied for 15th with 36 points
- Helped the Tigers win the AHA Tournament in 2023-24 and earned AHA All-Tournament honors after totaling four goals and four assists in playoffs
- Skated two seasons with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens (2021-23), serving as team captain in 2022-23 where he helped the Canadiens to their second-straight Bran Snow Memorial Trophy, finishing with a 45-5-2 record and leading the league with 35 goals, 70 assists and 105 points to earn him 2023 OJHL MVP, First-Team All-Star and Most Gentlemanly Player honors
- Served as an assistant captain during the 2021-22 season, leading the league with 67 assists, finishing third with 88 points while adding 21 goals and was named a First-Team All-Star
#92 – Matthew Maltais | Freshman | Forward | Montréal, Quebec
Lincoln Stars (USHL)
- Played for the Lincoln Stars for two seasons (2023-25), tallying 39 points (16g, 23a) in 59 regular season games in 2024-25
- Served as team captain during 2024-25 season, helping the Stars win the 2025 Anderson Cup for the first time since 2003 and matched a franchise record for most wins in a season (43) en route to the Clark Cup Western Conference Finals and All USHL Second Team honors
- Skated with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs from 2021-23, totaling 58 points (19g, 39a) in 69 career games and recorded 17 playoff points in two seasons
- Took the Bulldogs to the 2023 BCHL Fred Page Cup Finals and was named 2021-22 BCHL Coastal Conference Champions
