BOSTON -- After averaging 18.5 points per game, shooting over 60% from three, and tallying six assists and three steals over the weekend, Northeastern women's basketball guard Camryn Collins has been named the CAA Player of the Week.
Collins reached double figures in both contests, scoring 18 points in an overtime loss to N.C. A&T before tying her career high with 19 points in a 72-67 victory over Monmouth that snapped the Hawks' eight-game winning streak and earned Northeastern its first CAA win of the season.
Against Monmouth, Collins shot 6-of-11 from the field including 4-of-5 from three-point range while adding three assists and a steal. She finished the week shooting .571 from the floor and .667 from beyond the arc.
The sophomore transfer from Rider has been one of the Huskies' most consistent performers in her first season at Northeastern. Collins leads the team in scoring at 12.4 points per game and ranks second in steals (1.5 per game) and three-pointers made (16). She's reached double digits in nine of NU's 14 games so far this season.
She is the first Northeastern women's basketball player to earn CAA weekly honors this season, and the first Husky to claim that title since 2023.
Northeastern returns to action on Friday night vs Campbell in the Cabot Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on FloCollege.
