Blair, Curtis & Sarney Earn Event Wins At Scarlet & White Invitational

BOSTON - The Northeastern track and field team was led by event wins from Savannah Blair in the 60-meter dash, Leila Curtis in the shot put and Kyle Sarney in the mile at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational on Saturday at Boston University. The Huskies added numerous podium and top-five finishes across sprints, distance events and field competitions.

Women
  • Junior Savannah Blair won the 60-meter dash, capturing first place with a time of 7.50 in the finals. Freshman Anaya Jones finished fifth in the 60-meter dash, crossing the line in 7.69, while Victoria Knight followed closely in sixth at 7.71.

  • Blair added a runner-up finish in the 200 meters, clocking 23.98 to place second overall.

  • Freshman Lola Satre Morales placed third in the 800 meters, posting a time of 2:08.44 to earn a podium finish for the Huskies. Junior Waverly Hassman followed in sixth in the 800 meters, finishing in 2:10.31.

  •  Junior Keira Gamily secured a second-place finish in the 5000 meters, crossing the line in 17:10.24.

  • Junior Camryn Cole earned third place in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking 8.63 in the finals, while sophomore Elena Olson placed sixth in 8.87.

  • The Huskies' distance medley relay team of Stephanie Kriss, Brittani Westberry, Genevieve Cowan and Natasha Sortland earned second place, finishing in 12:03.22.

  • Senior Mia Belanger tied for third in the high jump after clearing 1.65 meters.

  • Junior Katie Rodriguez tied for second in the pole vault, clearing 3.60 meters, while junior Cassandra Cinzori placed fifth with a mark of 3.45 meters.

  • Camryn Cole added another runner-up finish for Northeastern in the long jump with a best mark of 5.54 meters, while freshman Ogechi Nathan placed sixth at 5.36 meters.

  • Nathan also earned fifth place in the triple jump, recording a top leap of 11.80 meters.

  • Senior Leila Curtis won the shot put, throwing 14.89 meters to take first place for the Huskies. Junior Catherine Sargent followed in seventh in the shot put with a mark of 12.93 meters.

  • Senior Liangie Calderon placed fourth in the weight throw, posting a best mark of 17.57 meters.

Men
  •  Freshman Raymond Felton III placed third in the 60-meter dash, clocking a time of 6.83 in the finals. Sophomore Taeshawn Berry followed closely behind with a fifth-place finish in the 60-meter dash, crossing the line in 6.92.

  • Felton III also secured a third-place result in the 200 meters with a time of 21.72, while Daeshaun Cole finished fourth in 21.73.

  • Freshman Brady Danyluk earned a fourth-place finish in the 800 meters, posting a time of 1:50.55.

  • Graduate student Kyle Sarney took the victory in the mile, taking first place in 4:00.39.

  • Graduate student Ryan Slaney finished 14th overall in the mile but placed within the top five among collegiate competitors for Northeastern with a time of 4:05.47.

  • The Huskies squad of Brunner Williams, Brady Danyluk, Ajay Raina and James Ciaccio took home third place in the 4x400 relay, crossing the finish line at 3:16.35.

  • In the field events, graduate student Max Zuckerman cleared 4.50 meters to place seventh in the pole vault.

  • Freshman Logan Alfandari finished third in the weight throw with a mark of 17.26 meters, earning Northeastern's top field result of the meet. Alfandari also added a 12th-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 14.57 meters.

  • Junior Aidan Moreau placed fifth in the weight throw, recording a best mark of 17.09 meters.
