Huskies Complete Day One Of Terrier Classic And Harvard Invitational

BOSTON – The Northeastern track and field team completed the first day of competition at both the Terrier Classic and the Harvard Invitational on Friday. Freshman Iolo Grant earned the highest Husky finish of the day, placing second in the 60-meter hurdles.

Terrier Classic

  • Sophomore Jaice Dorsey earned a fourth-place finish in the women's long jump with a mark of 5.56 meters.
  • Freshman Ogechi Nathan took third place in the high jump with a clearance of 1.56 meters, while senior Ava Carry McDonald finished 10th with a mark of 1.16 meters.

Harvard Invitational

  • Clocking 7.77 in the 60-meter hurdles, freshman Iolo Grant earned a runner-up finish, marking the Huskies' highest placement of the meet.
  • A strong close in the mile run lifted sophomore Timothy Rank to a fourth-place finish as he crossed the line in 4:18.16.
  • Clearing 4.45 meters in the invitational pole vault, graduate student Max Zuckerman finished tied for fifth against elite competition.
  • In the open pole vault, freshman Nathan Epstein matched that clearance of 4.45 meters, tying for fifth overall.
  • Senior Kevin Xu added another solid field performance by clearing 4.30 meters in the open pole vault to earn a tie for sixth place.
  • On the track in the 400 meters, sophomore Taeshawn Berry recorded a finals time of 50.54 to place 15th overall.
  • Rounding out the sprint finals, freshman Aiden Ray posted a 22.70 in the 200 meters, finishing 20th in a deep field.

Both the Terrier Classic and the Harvard Invitational will host the second day of competition on Saturday, Jan. 31.
