Huskies Complete Competition At BU And Harvard

BOSTON  – The Northeastern track and field team closed out competition on Saturday at the BU Terrier Classic and the Harvard Invitational, posting multiple finals performances across the track and field events on the meet's second day.

Terrier Classic

  • In the 800m, freshman Brady Danyluk earned second place, crossing the finish line at 1:50.65. Senior Connall Rogers took ninth place at 1:36.

  • Junior Brunner Williams competed in the 200m dash, finishing in eighth place at 21.51. Close behind was sophomore Taeshawn Berry in tenth place at 21.62. 

  • Wrapping up the day in the 5000m, graduate student Ryan Slaney led the Huskies finishing in 32nd place at 14:18.01. The next Husky to finish was junior Ryan Sarney in 34th place, followed by sophomore Nico Boyle who rounded out the top 40.


Harvard Invitational

  • In the women's 200 meters, sophomore Morgan Hayward recorded a finals time of 25.65, finishing tenth overall in a deep sprint field.

  • Sophomore Sloan Hinton represented the Huskies in the women's 400 meters, placing sixth with a time of 58.61.

  • Competing in the women's open long jump, sophomore Madison Phillips posted a mark of 4.67 meters to finish 33rd overall.

  • In the women's open pole vault, junior Cassandra Cinzori cleared 3.40 meters, tying for second place in the event.

  • Junior Katie Rodriguez finished tied for sixth in the women's invitational pole vault, clearing 3.80 meters.

  • Junior Hannah Shaw added another field result for Northeastern in the women's invitational pole vault, clearing 3.65 meters to place 12th.

  • On the men's side, sophomore Taeshawn Berry returned to the track in the 400 meters, finishing fifteenth with a finals time of 50.54.

  • Freshman Aiden Ray rounded out the Huskies' sprint finals by running 22.70 in the men's 200 meters, placing 20th overall.


Northeastern returns next Friday, Feb. 6 to compete at the ECAC/IC4A meet as well as the Riverhawk Invitational. The ECAC/IC4A will continue until Sunday, Feb. 8 while the Riverhawk Invitational is only a two-day meet.
