Huskies Complete Day One Of Valentine Invitational And Crimson Open

BOSTON – Highlighted by a 4x440 relay finals win, the Northeastern men's and women's track and field teams completed the first day of competition at the Valentine Invitational and Crimson Open. 

Harvard Crimson Open
  • The Northeastern squad of Emily McCann, Alanna Hagen, Brittani Westberry, and Waverly Hassman championed the 4x440 relay finals. The four contributed to a time of 3:59.32.
  • Freshman Anaya Jones earned a sixth place finish in the 60m dash, finishing at 7.55 and earning a tied for fifth all time rank. Jones also earned a sixth place finish in the 200m at 25.08.
  • Junior Waverly Hassman podiumed in the 500m, taking second place at 1:13.13. The time earns her a second place all-time rank.
  • In the 1000m, senior Lauren Trejo took fifth place at 2:55.60, followed by freshman Emersyn Deponte in sixth place.
  • On the field, senior Mia Belanger earned fourth place in the high jump. Belanger leapt to a 1.69m mark 
  • Junior Cassandra Cinzori took second place in the pole vault with a 3.55m mark.
  • Senior Liangie Calderon earned a new PR in the weight throw with a 17.96m mark.

BU Valentine Invitational
  • In the 800m, freshman Brady Danyluk took second place, crossing the finish line at 1:49.82.
  • Two Huskies earned new Northeastern All-Time ranks in the 3000m, junor Ryan Sarney now sits at sixth and graduate student Ryan Slaney sits at tenth.
