Northeastern Closes Out BU Valentine Invitational And Harvard Crimson Open

BOSTON – The Northeastern men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up weekend competition on day two of the Valentine Invitational and the Harvard Crimson Open, highlighted by multiple top-10 finishes.


BU Valentine Invitational

  • In the 1000m, freshman Lola Satre-Morales placed fourth with a time of 2:46.77. Graduate student Stephanie Kriss followed closely behind, finishing in 2:47.93.

Harvard Crimson Open

  • Junior Vance Thorpe secured a top-10 finish in the 200m, crossing the line in 22.84.

  • Sophomore Ryan Leslie placed 11th in the mile with a time of 4:13.62.

  • In the pole vault, sophomore Alex Yuen cleared 4.60m to finish fifth, while senior Max Zuckerman took 10th at 4.45m.

  • Freshman Iolo Grant earned silver in the long jump with a mark of 6.78m, with fellow freshman Aiden Ray close behind at 6.66m.

  • Ray also placed third in the triple jump with a distance of 14.24m.

  • On the throws side, freshman Logan Alfandari recorded a 14.86m mark in the shot put to place seventh and also finished seventh in the weight throw.


The Huskies return to competition next Sunday and Monday, Feb. 22-23, for the CAA Championships taking place at The Track at New Balance.
